joseph m. schnitzer is a partner of the law firm of schnitzer & hymer, llc.  He practices in the areas of estates & trust matters, business transactions and tax controversy matters.  He is a Certified Public Accountant (1981), as well as an attorney.  He is a member of the Maryland State Bar Association, Baltimore County Bar Association, and the Baltimore Estate Planning Council. He also regularly serves as a volunteer board member of various non-profit organizations. He has previously served as a board member of Civic Works, Inc, The National Spinal Cord Injury Hotline and People Encouraging People. He currently serves as a member of the Ethics Review Panel of the Baltimore County Public Schools.

jay g. hymer is a partner of the law firm of schnitzer & hymer, llc. Jay has engaged in the practice of law since 1987.  He practices in the areas of estates & trusts, business transactions and tax matters.  Prior to his law career, Jay was a CPA, practicing in the tax compliance area. He has lectured on the needs and benefits of estate planning, succession planning and business matters. He has also served on the board of a charitable loan organization for over 15 years. Jay has represented many family businesses and professionals during his career.

Steve focuses his practice in the areas of estates & trusts, business transactions and succession planning.  Steve represents many small businesses and professionals. Steve also represents and counsels many families regarding special needs estate planning.
